Cabbage

Hmm, this sweet white cabbage, crunchy at the middle, yet soft on its leaf. Taste good. I cannot stop eating it. Looking carefully at the texture of the each leaf, chewing it slowly and also hastily down to every single piece. O.o  I can also see some mushrooms, which has become my favorite thing in a soup, crunchy. I guess I like them for having the crunchy soft texture.

I forgot when was the last time I ate this kind of cabbage. I remember when my mom used to steam it when we ate grilled fish with special spicy sauce, called Sambel Terasi. (It is a very popular and traditional chili from Indonesia cooked with Belacan, that is made of dried shrimp (ebi) and many other spices.) When our mouth is burned by the chili, we will hurriedly eat the steam cabbage to smoothen the heat. But this doesn't stop us from taking more chili. Oh yeah, it's spicy but good, and then all the sweat comes running down from the forehead to the ear and tears from eyes, all face wet hehe.

Now mom doesn't make that kind of chili anymore, said that it has the cancer causing ingredients, from the salted one. It is still possible to create a healthy one from scratch, but it just takes too much work I guess. Probably in the future, most food will be banned, and we will only have a few super-healthy food to choose from the menu.
Which will you choose, either to eat great heavenly delicious food everyday of your life or to live a long healthy life?!

Goro....goro.....hehe, reminds me of Goro-san
